Glasgow favourite Shawarma King is set to expand with a new restaurant in the works.
Shawarma King currently operates out of an unassuming premises on King Street - crowned the best kebab house in Scotland at the British Kebab Awards.
Owners beat off competition from nine other kebab houses in Scotland to take the crown - including two other kebab spots in Glasgow that were shortlisted.

It's now been announced that the team has taken over the former Elite Shisha Lounge in Govan and will be creating a Shawarma King restaurant inside.
Posting on social media, the new owners said: "What was formerly Elite shisha Lounge has been taken over and is now…Kings Lounge Glasgow.
"Under new ownership from the team behind Shawarma King we are working very hard to bring our customers top levels of service, shisha and food and drinks.
"We are open from 2pm each day for shisha, mocktails, and desserts, and are currently refurbishing the kitchen to create a shawarma king restaurant within the premises.
"We are so excited for the future and can’t wait to bring our vision to life.
"We look forward to welcoming new customers and creating Glasgow’s premier shisha experience."
We couldn't be happier to see the Shawarma King empire expanding!
