Glasgow set to welcome new Royston Road development with 136 units

Approval has been granted for a new development in Glasgow, with 136 units set to be constructed on Royston Road.

Swan Group made the announcement today, December 1, having previously gained approval for 100 homes on the site before delays due to the pandemic. With the team having extra time to assess, a resubmission was made with extra units.

Working in collaboration with PfP Capital, the development is said to include a combination of houses and flats. The organisation have not said when the ‘much needed’ housing will be expected.

Phil McGinlay, Managing Director of Swan Group, said: “Swan Group’s Royston Road development will be a great addition to Glasgow’s regeneration ambitions, offering residents direct and safe access to the city centre.

“We are happy to see our continued hard work paying off as another stage of the development process is concluded. The team are very excited and determined to ensure the continued success of this development through to completion.”

The announcement comes just months after work began on the Newhall Street Development, which will see the Swan Group bring in 151 flats to the East End. Located along the River Clyde, the development will be comprised of five apartment blocks consisting of one and two bed apartments.
