Police in Glasgow are hunting a gang of Chinese-speaking scammers who are targeting young foreign students across the city.
The crooks are posing as cops in an ‘elaborate ruse’ to steal large sums of money from young Chinese students.
A spokesman for Glasgow North West Police said: “Police are investigating reports of Chinese speaking fraudsters, purporting to be from law enforcement contacting Chinese students with an elaborate rouse(sic) compelling the victim to transfer large sums of cash.”
And they advised: “Do not transfer cash unless to pay for goods/services bought by you.”
