Glasgow's much-loved Riverside Museum has been shortlisted for the Family Friendly Museum Award for 2019.
The prestigious award celebrates museums, galleries and heritage attractions that go the extra mile to provide an excellent family friendly experience, and is the only museum award to be judged by families themselves.
The £74 million Riverside Museum, which opened in June of 2011, is in the running alongside the World Museum in Liverpool and the Museum of Liverpool in the Large Museums category.
Over the summer holiday, undercover family judges will visit the museum in Glasgow and the others which feature on the shortlist and judge them, according to criteria created by those who organise the award, the website Kids In Museums.
And it will compete with the winners from both the Small and Medium Museums categories to claim the prize of Family Friendly Museum Award for 2019.
The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony in London in October.
