Figures released by Police Scotland have confirmed the number of sex offenders living in each postcode area of Scotland.
Monthly figures are published by the force regarding the number of registered sex offenders (RSO) in each area of the country.
As of December 31 2022, there are 723 RSOs in the community while 258 are in custody or hospital. Across Scotland, this figure is placed at 4,661 in the community and 1,721 in custody or hospital.

The G postcode area takes in Glasgow City, West Dunbartonshire, as well as parts of North Lanarkshire, South Lanarkshire, East Renfrewshire, Argyll and Bute and Stirling.
The Glasgow area with the highest number of registered sex offender is G32 in Barlanark in the east end of the city at 44. It is followed by G73, Rutherglen, and G81, Clydebank, which both have 41 RSOs.
As of January 31, there are 14 Wanted Registered Sex Offenders in Scotland and no Missing Registered Sex Offenders.
