Glasgow police raid in south side uncovers £40k cannabis stash

A drugs haul worth £40,000 has been recovered from a property in Glasgow's south side following a two-day search by police.

Officers acting under warrant searched the address in Cardonald on Tuesday and Wednesday where the discovery was made. The drugs confiscated are thought to have a street value of around £40,000 and are believed to be cannabis.

An investigation into the find is still ongoing.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “On Tuesday, October 18 and Wednesday, October 19 2022, officers from Govan's local problem-solving team, acting under warrant, searched a property in Cardonald where drugs, believed to be cannabis with an estimated street value of £40,000, were recovered.

"Enquiries into the find are continuing.”
