Glasgow police launch CCTV appeal over serious taxi rank assault

Police have launched a CCTV appeal after a serious assault which took place in a Glasgow taxi rank.

The attack took place on Sunday, August 21, at Buchanan Bus Station taxi rank and left a man seriously injured, requiring hospital treatment.

Cops believe the man pictured will be able to assist them with their ongoing investigation.

The male is described as white, between 18 and 30-years-old and of slim build. He has short receding brown hair which is shaved at the sides, and a short beard. He was wearing a dark blue jumper with white piping around the collar and cuffs, dark blue jeans, and white trainers.

Detective Constable Matthew McCann said: “This was a serious attack which left a man requiring hospital treatment.

“I would urge the man, or anyone who has information relating to the man depicted in the image to make contact with the police.”

Anyone with information can contact officers through 101 quoting reference number 0069 of Sunday, 21 August 2022.
