Glasgow police CCTV appeal after attack leaves man with 'significant facial injuries'

Police have released images of a man they want to speak to in connection with a serious assault in Glasgow city centre.

Officers are investigating the 'particularly serious attack ' on February 15 that left a man needing hospital treatment for significant facial injuries.

The incident took place on Sauchiehall Street around 11.45pm on a Tuesday. Police believe the man pictured could hold information that will assist with their investigation.

The man is described as white, between 20 and 35 years old and of slim build. He was wearing a blue jacket with dark jogging bottoms and white trainers.

Detective Constable James Herbison from Greater Glasgow CID said: "This was a particularly serious attack on a busy area of Glasgow city centre which has left a man requiring hospital treatment for significant facial injuries.

"Our enquiries are ongoing and I am appealing for the man pictured, or anyone who has information relating to him or the assault to contact police.

"Anyone with any information is asked to contact 101 quoting reference number 3891 of the February 15, 2022.

"Alternatively information can be passed to Crimestoppers by calling 0800 555 111 where anonymity can be maintained."
