Glasgow pensioner rushed to hospital with serious injuries after being knocked down by bus

A pensioner in Glasgow has been rushed to hospital after being knocked down by a bus.

The incident took place earlier today on Govan Road, with police being called to the scene just after 3pm.

The 72-year-old gentleman was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, where he is being treated for serious injuries. His current condition is unknown.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Officers were called to a report of a pedestrian having been hit by a bus on Govan Road, Glasgow around 3.15pm on Friday, September 2, 2022.

“A 72-year-old man was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital with serious injuries.

"Enquiries are ongoing"
