Glasgow man found 'seriously injured' inside east end flat as road closed

Officers have closed a road in the east end of Glasgow after finding a man seriously injured inside a property.

Emergency crew raced to the scene in Glenisla Street, Tollcross, following reports that a man was injured within a flat.

Cops have closed Glenisla Street, between Birnham Road and Maukinfauld Road as they continue their enquiries.

The incident happened at around 5.05pm on June 25 - the man's current condition is unknown.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 5.05pm on Sunday, 25 June 2023, police were called to a flat in Glenisla Street, Tollcross, Glasgow, following a report that a man was seriously injured within.

"Officers and emergency services are at the scene and enquiries are continuing.

“Glenisla Street, between Birnham Road and Maukinfauld Road have been closed to pedestrians and motorists.

"There are no further details at this time."
