Glasgow Deliveroo rider captured cycling through Clyde Tunnel by shocked car passenger

By Craig Williams

Footage has emerged of a Deliveroo rider cycling through the Clyde Tunnel - much to the shock of a car passenger.

The incident, which took place this afternoon, shows the rider in the left hand lane pedalling through the tunnel alongside a vehicle.

The phone footage was captured by the car passenger, who expressed their amazement at the sight.

It's not the first time a Deliveroo rider has been spotted by alarmed motorists on busy motorways and unsafe roads in Glasgow.

Last July, a driver captured cycling on the fast lane of M8 motorway during rush hour at Junction 16 Craighall, near Glasgow city centre.

Footage showed a member of the public tell them they were "off their heid" for cycling in such a dangerous location.

Meanwhile a fellow motorist thought they were dreaming when they spotted a cyclist pedalling over the Kingston Bridge amid rush hour traffic, back in January.

It appeared the cyclist may have decided to cross the Clyde by taking the on-ramp from Waterloo Street in the city centre or Newton Street after being spotted heading in the direction of the Tradeston off-ramp.
