Glasgow Celtic pub decked out in Italy flags ahead of England Euros final clash

A traditional Celtic-supporting Glasgow pub has been decked out in Italian flags ahead of the nation's Euros final showdown with England.

The Brazen Head, on the city's Catchcart Road, has left punters in no doubt of where their allegiances lie with huge Italian standards across the pub and even on a lamppost.

Cheeky pub bosses have taken to social media to show the boozer's new design with nearby Cumberland Street renamed Cumberland Strada.

In a post on Facebook, the pub said that they were Glasgow's only 'Italian Irish' bar.

They wrote: "it’s coming home…….. to Rome- viva Italia. Glasgow’s first and only Irish Italian pub is ready for Sunday."

A number of other Glasgow boozers are showing support for the Italians including the Star and Garter in Maryhill and Committee Room No.9 in the city centre.

Comments under the Brazen Head's display were divided with some joking about the light-hearted pop at the Auld Enemy while others criticised the display.

Italy and England clash tomorrow night at 8pm at Wembley stadium in London to decide the Euro 2020 winner.
