Glasgow bar recreates East 17 classic in funny lockdown Christmas video

Bars across Glasgow have responded to the ongoing hospitality restrictions in a whole range of ways.

But one business has decided to convey their thoughts through the art of music video.

The Gate, in the east end, have remade the East 17 classic 'Stay Another Day' video with their take aptly named 'Please come back another day'.

The video sees cameos from Nicola Sturgeon, flying Christmas cocktails and the newly formed East G4 group - made up of The Gate’s bartenders rocking fur hoods and goggles.

They created the slapstick video to bring some joy to cocktail lovers across Glasgow and to thank you everyone who has supported them over the last year.

Despite having to stay closed ahead of Christmas, they've released four limited edition cocktails and a new gift pack for guests to enjoy at home via their cocktail delivery or collection service.

Andy Gemmell, the owner of The Gate, said:  “It’s been a bleak year for hospitality, and we wanted to have a bit of fun to brighten the festive season for our team.

"This is usually our busiest time of the year, and we wanted to say thanks to our amazing regulars, friends and cocktail lovers that have supported us this year by creating four limited edition Christmas drinks that you can enjoy at home."
