Gland Pharma inks strategic CDMO deal with global pharma firm, eyes $90-100 million annual revenue

Gland Pharma has entered into a strategic Manufacturing and Supply Agreement (MSA) with a leading global pharmaceutical company to undertake technology transfer, manufacturing and supply of sterile injectable products for global markets, the company said on Sunday.

The agreement covers 55 SKUs to be manufactured across three Gland Pharma sites, with scope for additional products to be added. Once the portfolio is fully commercialised, the agreement is expected to have an annualised revenue potential of approximately $90 million-$100 million.

The company has yet to announce the name of its collaborating partner.

Gland Pharma said technology transfer activities are planned to be completed within two years, with revenue generation expected to begin in calendar year 2029.

The partnership will follow a full-service contract development and manufacturing organisation (CDMO) model, covering technology transfer, process development, scale-up, validation, commercial manufacturing and long-term supply.

The portfolio includes both oncology and non-oncology products across vial, lyophilised (Lyo), ampoule and pre-filled syringe (PFS) presentations. It comprises both complex and conventional injectable formulations and includes commercially marketed as well as pipeline products under development.

Gland Pharma to provide end-to-end services

Under the agreement, Gland Pharma will provide integrated development, technology transfer, manufacturing, quality and regulatory support as a "one-stop" solution to the global pharmaceutical company.

“We are pleased to enter into this strategic collaboration. The partnership highlights the confidence global pharmaceutical companies place in Gland Pharma's development, technology transfer, manufacturing, and supply capabilities. The agreement provides meaningful long-term revenue visibility, supports expansion of our CDMO business, and creates a strong foundation for future growth. We remain committed to investing in the capabilities and capacity required to support our partner's evolving needs and ensure reliable supply to patients worldwide," said Srinivas Sadu, Executive Chairman, Gland Pharma Limited.

The company said the partnership strengthens its position as a global CDMO partner for pharmaceutical companies seeking integrated development, technology transfer and manufacturing solutions for sterile injectable products.
