BHOPAL: A 20-year-old girl was allegedly abducted from Gautam Nagar on November 20 and raped at a rented house in Indore.
The survivor’s family members had lodged a missing person’s complaint at Gautam Nagar police station. She was traced in Indore and rescued, cops said.
Investigating officer SI Priyamvada Singh said the accused, a distant relative of the girl, called her to meet. When she went, the accused pressurised the survivor to come to Indore with him. When she protested and refused to go, he threatened her that he would commit suicide. The accused then took her at a rented flat in Indore and allegedly outraged her modesty, police said. On the complaint of survivor, a case of rape has been registered and the accused arrested.
