A girl of three has been rushed to hospital with "severe" injuries to her leg after a horror dog attack in west London.
The child was mauled in broad daylight at Rectory Fields in Northolt, Ealing on Wednesday, September 24 just after 12.45pm.
According to the Metropolitan Police, the owner of the pet fled the scene and no arrests have been made. It is unclear what breed of dog it is.
A spokesman for Scotland Yard said: “Officers are investigating an alleged dog attack which occurred at around 12.50pm on Wednesday, September 24 in Rectory Fields, Ealing.
“A three-year-old girl was taken to hospital by the London Ambulance Service where she received treatment for severe injuries to her leg.
“It is believed the owner of the dog left the scene before police arrived. No arrests have been made at this stage."
Anyone who has information relating to the dog’s owner of the dog, or witnessed the incident, is asked to contact the Met via 101, quoting 01/8008839/25.
