Girl, 13, missing after last seen boarding train

UPDATE: Police have confirmed that Ava Stewart has been traced

A 13-YEAR-OLD girl last seen in Glasgow has been missing since Friday.

Ava Stewart, from Kilmarnock, was last seen boarding a train at Glasgow Central Station at around 1.35pm on Friday. Following enquiries, police believe she may have travelled to Birmingham.

She is described as around 4ft 11 in height, of slim build with long brown hair. When last seen, she was wearing white tracksuit bottoms, a grey crop top, a blue denim jacket, and blue and cream Nike Air Jordan trainers. She also has a lip and nose piercing and has a coloboma feature, where a part of tissue is missing, in her left eye.

Police have appealed for anyone with information to come forward.

Sergeant Lana Grant said: “Concerns are growing for Ava and it is important we make sure she is safe and well.

“We are asking anyone who has seen her or has any information on her whereabouts to please get in touch.”

Anyone who can help is asked to call Police Scotland on 101, quoting reference number 3105 of June 6, 2025.
