Gino D'Acampo said he didn't like French people in an unprovoked rant about the nation.
The This Morning chef was back in the kitchen today but not before he took over several of the show's segments. Acting as today's agony aunt, he helped viewers with their problems before returning to whip up an "Italian chicken cordon bleu."
While in the kitchen, Gino made it clear he was putting a spin on the French classic because of his disdain toward French people. He said: "I like to use other country's ingredients but I don't like to do the full dish.

"Especially the French because I'm going to be honest with you, apart from my Fred Sirieix I don't like French people."
The comment caught Phillip Schofield off guard as he coughed back his food, covering his mouth with his hand. Gino added: "They're too close to Italy, they think they're the greatest [in everything that they do]. There is no need for French people in the world
Both Holly and Phil confirmed to French viewers watching that they were loved despite Gino's comments. Their response wasn't enough as some viewers were left heated by Gino's remarks.
One viewer said: "Used to like Gino but now he’s too annoying. That was uncalled for regarding the French." A second said: "Shut up Gino."
ITV have been approached for comment.
