Gini Wijnaldum makes Tottenham Hotspur 'decision' after quadruple swap claim

Former Liverpool midfielder Gini Wijnaldum continues to be linked with a move back to the Premier League.

The Dutchman left the Reds last summer after five years at Anfield to link up with Paris Saint-Germain as a free agent.

After months of speculation over whether or not he would commit further years to Liverpool, Wijnaldum decided to call time on his stint on Merseyside and leave on a free transfer.

However, since the 31-year-old left the Reds things have not quite gone to plan.

He has started just 11 Ligue 1 matches under Mauricio Pochettino this season, with 25 appearances in all competitions.

Three goals have come since his move to Paris, with two of those coming in a draw with RB Leipzig in the Champions League in November.

Rumours in recent months have claimed that Wijnaldum could move back to the Premier League, with Arsenal supposedly keen and even the idea of a return to Liverpool said to be on the table.

But the latest report has listed another club who could be in the market for Wijnaldum.

According to 90min , Wijnaldum is thought to be “open” to the idea of signing for Tottenham Hotspur before the deadline this month.

The report goes on to say that a deal involving Wijnaldum moving to North London could see Tanguy Ndombele and Dele Alli move the other way, with Julian Draxler also joining Spurs.

Ndombele has, for a long time now, been linked with a move away from Tottenham after failing to impress since his £58million move from Lyon in 2019.

It is said that Wijnaldum would be keen on a loan move to Spurs, with the idea of a permanent deal not mentioned at this stage.
