Giants-Eagles flexed to 4:25 in Week 17

The New York Giants have just one more game left and the 2019 regular season can mercifully be brought to a close, but for the Philadelphia Eagles, there is still quite a bit left to play for.

After defeating the Dallas Cowboys, 17-9, on Sunday, the Eagles now have an opportunity to win the NFC East if they defeat the Giants in Week 17 and the Cowboys fall to the Washington Redskins.

Accordingly, the NFL and FOX Sports have seen the value in the Giants-Eagles matchup and subsequently flexed it out of the 1:00 p.m. spot, moving it to 4:25 p.m on FOX.

Fans and media members alike are not going to be thrilled with that change, but they have to get those dollar, dollar bills, y’all.

The Eagles barely held on to beat the Giants in Week 14 with Eli Manning under center, escaping with a 23-17 win at the Linc. This time around, Daniel Jones will be under center as Big Blue, for the first time in months, has something genuine to play for — the chance to spoil the dreams of an NFC East foe.

A win would also get the Giants to five on the season, tying their total from a season ago and potentially saving the jobs of both head coach Pat Shurmur and general manager Dave Gettleman.
