Giannis Antetokounmpo had the most fun celebrating his first NBA title

This is the online version of our morning newsletter, The Morning WinSubscribe to get irreverent and incisive sports stories, delivered to your mailbox every morning.

On Tuesday night, Giannis Antetokounmpo won his first NBA title with a 50-point performance that was one for the record books.

On Wednesday morning, he celebrated by going to Chick-Fil-A and ordering 50-piece chicken meal.

I mean, what a way to kick off what’s going to likely be a bunch of days partying (the Bucks are holding their championship parade today) after shutting up all the haters with a Finals performance that was one for the ages. Plus, his take on super teams was pretty great, too.

We know Giannis went to Chick-Fil-A because he filmed it all live on Instagram. In a sweet moment he asked the woman who was taking his order if it would be OK for him to put her on camera. It was a thoughtful and caring thing to ask and showed just how good of a human this dude is and she was more than happy to be on camera in front of the 150,000 people who were watching.

He then later was live again on Instagram from his car where he had his window rolled down at a stoplight and allowed a fan to reach in and touch this new trophy.

How cool is that?

Giannis is just 26 years old and is already a legend after what he did against the Suns.

He’s also becoming a legend for just being a really good person who likes to have fun and is grateful for all that he has in life. He’s a perfect role model and is a perfect person to be one of the faces of the NBA.

It feels like this first title could lead to many more now that he is freed up from all the talk about why he previously couldn’t lead his team to a championship.

And I’m here for it.

And I think off all of Milwaukee is, too.
