During the second day of interviews, Ghislaine Maxwell was questioned about the $30 million prosecutors claim she received from Jeffrey Epstein for recruiting young women. Maxwell explained that the money was actually part of loans provided by Epstein for real estate and other investments. When asked directly if the idea of being paid $30 million between 1999 and 2007 to recruit young women was false, Maxwell firmly stated that it was categorically false.
Maxwell clarified that Epstein had loaned her the money to facilitate her activities, and any profits she made were from the deals they engaged in together. She mentioned that the profit-sharing arrangement varied between 50% and 25% for different deals. Additionally, Maxwell denied ever recruiting a woman from Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate.
