The Vikings are trying to get a whole lot of rookies and new players caught up to speed this offseason.
In most cases, that would involve them being in the facility and working in-person with coaches.
With the COVID-19 pandemic, that’s not the reality in 2020. Players, like rookie wide receiver Justin Jefferson, are trying to adjust the best they can to these virtual meetings.
“It’s all sort of new. I’m not used to having camp over the computer. I’m waking up in the morning, going to the iPad for meetings for three to four hours,” Jefferson said via Vikings.com. “It’s all been kind of new for us.”
It will be interesting how this impacts new players on teams, specifically rookies, when training camp opens (if it opens on schedule) in late-July.
