German Chancellor Angela Merkel says she's fine after being seen shaking

German Chancellor Angela Merkel, insisted she was fine after she was seen shaking when she met visiting Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy.

Ms Merkel looked as if she were struggling to stand up while she and Zelenskiy listened to national anthems during military honours upon his arrival.

The pair stood alongside each other in the 30C midday sun.

Mrs Merkel said she was dehydrated: "Since then I have drunk at least three glasses of water - I obviously needed that and so I'm doing very well now," Merkel said during a joint news conference with Zelenskiy in Berlin.

The chancellor was answering a question about her wellbeing at a joint news conference with President Zelensky.
