Georgia no longer has nation’s No. 1 recruiting class

The Georgia Bulldogs no longer have the country’s top recruiting class. Georgia’s class of 2025 was ranked as the best in the nation entering the early signing period.

However, Georgia lost a commitment from four-star running back recruit Ousmane Kromah. The Texas Longhorns, who Georgia plays against in the SEC championship, has surpassed Georgia for the No. 1 spot in 247Sports’ recruiting rankings.

Georgia and head coach Kirby Smart have a legitimate chance to regain the crown with five-star defensive tackle Justus Terry’s commitment on Friday. Georgia has 27 total commitments in the 2025 recruiting cycle. Twenty-three of Georgia’s commitments have already signed with the Bulldogs.

Regardless of if Georgia finishes with the No. 1 class, the Bulldogs are bringing in a ton of talent in 2025 cycle. Georgia fans should still be very excited and optimistic about the Bulldogs’ future.
