Georgia football: Score, stat predictions for UGA vs. South Carolina

The Georgia Bulldogs return home to Sanford Stadium Saturday, after a three-week break ‘Between the Hedges’.

Georgia (5-0, 2-0), will face off against South Carolina (2-3, 1-2) who is looking for a signature win. The Gamecocks have not beaten Georgia since 2014 and desperately need a marquee win to reignite the Will Muschamp era in Columbia.

The game will be broadcast on ESPN at 12:00 PM, with a jam-packed slate soon to follow.

Let’s get down to the nitty gritty and give you everything you need to know for the game.

On Georgia’s first drive of the game:

Expect Georgia’s offense to come out firing on all cylinders early. The Dawgs got off to a shaky start in Knoxville last week, though the offense still did its job on the first few possessions of the game. Look for Georgia to take it to South Carolina early, with goals of putting this one away quickly.

On South Carolina’s first drive of the game:

Expect the Dawgs’ defense to be motivated after last week’s disappointing start. Georgia rebounded to finish the game against Tennessee nicely, but things were a little too close for comfort in the first half. Coach Smart will have his defense ready today, after a week to regroup in practice.
