Georgia basketball’s Nic Claxton makes final decision on NBA Draft

Nic Claxton, the 6’11 junior Georgia Bulldogs forward has come to a decision on the future of his basketball career.

The Legacy Charter School alumnus will forgo his junior season at Georgia to enter the NBA Draft and become a professional basketball player. This decision comes just before the NBA’s declaration deadline on Wednesday the 29th.

Per NBA rules, all players wanting to keep their names in the NBA Draft shall make their final decisions by May 29th.

Claxton leaves behind a talented Bulldog squad that finished with a Top 10 recruiting class for 2019 and gained Anthony Edwards, the No. 1 player in the nation per 247 Sports.

It was very apparent that Claxton was torn on this decision throughout the process but he ultimately decided to stick with the path to the pros.

We wish him the best in his professional basketball future.
