George Galloway has revealed he has been sacked from Talk Radio following a huge backlash to comments he made about Liverpool's Champions League win over Tottenham Hotspur.
The former Labour party member, who has hosted a TalkRadio show since 2016, faced criticism and was condemned by Spurs after he was accused of "blatant anti-Semitism" by the club.
In congratulating the Merseyside club, Mr Galloway tweeted: "Congratulations to the great people of Liverpool to the memory of socialist miner Bill Shankley, to the fallen #96, to those who fought for justice for them and to the Liverpool dockers.
"No Israel flags on the cup".
On Monday morning, Mr Galloway said he had been given a "red card" from TalkRadio, and said: "I've just been sacked by TalkRadio. See you in court guys. #Palestine #Moats Long live Palestine".
He added: "The Mother of All Talkshows - Unleashed -will not be silenced. Stay tuned for further details.
"I've been given a Red Card from Talk Radio for "over celebrating" Liverpool's famous victory over Spurs. Not sure if it's the wisest move Mr Murdoch's team ever made given the history and all."
In a statement, Talk Radio said: "talkRADIO has terminated George Galloway's weekly show with immediate effect. As a fair and balanced news provider, talkRADIO does not tolerate anti-semitic views.
"As a fair and balanced news provider, talkRADIO does not tolerate anti-Semitic views."
Mr Galloway's comments prompted outrage after he posted the now-deleted tweet.
A statement from Spurs given to Sky Sports news read: "It's astounding in this day and age to read such blatant anti-Semitism published on a social platform by someone who is still afforded air time on a radio station on which he has previously broken broadcast impartiality rules."
Lord Alan Sugar also hit out at Mr Galloway, labelling his tweet as "a swipe at the Jewish community who are Spurs fans."
