And so, the Standard's brand new editor-in-chief introduced himself to what's left of the staff this afternoon and seems to have left a decent impression. It helped that he assured all concerned that he wouldn't be turning the paper into a society magazine, that he'd be big on the City, politics, the arts and breaking news, that he shook hands with everyone at the end, stressed that the Standard would no longer be "in the shadow" of the Daily Mail and that, just in general, he wasn't Veronica Wadley. Could it be that Evening Boris is at least a little bit dead?
