Genius tip for lifting stubborn grease from pans using 65p kitchen staple

Removing stubborn grease from pans can be really difficult - no matter how much you soak the kitchenware in washing-up liquid, the grease just doesn't seem to budge and it can make you feel really fed up.

Now, experts have shared a 65p kitchen staple that can lift difficult grease stains from kitchenware and stovetops with ease - all you'll need is the product and some hot water.

It'll be music to many people's ears as many are desperate to find ways to save money during the cost of living crisis and a rise in popularity of 'hacks' on social media.

Experts PureSalt have shared a way you can remove stubborn stains with just salt, which can be bought from Tesco for just 65p.

Grease on pots and pans is notoriously difficult to clean off as it is not water-soluble. However, salt will help to remove greasy stains from your kitchenware with ease.

This is a more cost-effective way of cleaning pots and pans, as simply placing your dirty kitchen utensils in a dishwasher cost £236.60 annually in 2022, and that is expected to rise this year as energy bills increase.

All you need to do is add a quarter of a cup of salt to kitchenware that is soaking in the sink, then when you're ready to scrub, the stains should be much easier to remove.

You can also use a similar method on stovetop spills, as long as you act before the liquid has time to harden into a stain. Only clean the stain once the stovetop has cooled.

Simply sprinkle the salt onto the spill whilst it's still a liquid, and once the stovetop has cooled, wipe away the stain with a cloth.

PureSalt also shared a genius way to unclog your toilet with salt, sharing the easy method.

All you need to do is mix half a cup of rock or table salt with half a cup of baking soda. Then, you should pour it into the toilet along with six cups of boiling water.
