Billy Gilmour continued his comeback from injury with a goal in Chelsea Under-23s' Premier League 2 draw with Manchester City today.
The young Blues side trailed 2-0 at the break in the north west, but Gilmour rifled home shortly after the restart before Myles Peart-Harris completed the comeback in a 2-2 draw.
Gilmour burst onto the scene for Chelsea last season before the Premier League’s shutdown due to coronavirus. When action returned, Gilmour suffered a knee injury in July during the 3-2 win over Crystal Palace.
The 19-year-old has been making steady progress on his comeback, featuring for Scotland Under-21s – where he was sent off – playing an hour for the under-23s in the EFL Trophy and then again playing today.
And with Tottenham Hotspur coming up next weekend, Chelsea fans are keen for the teenager to get back into the first-team squad.
