General Election 2020: RTE exit poll predicts stalemate between three main parties

General Election 2020 looks set to be a three way tie, according to the results of an exit poll taken today.

The poll suggests Fine Gael, Fianna Fail and Sinn Fein are all on 22% of first preference votes.

The Ipsos/MRBI exit poll was commissioned commissioned by RTE, The Irish Times, TG4 and University College Dublin and interviewed over 5,000 people across the country.

The margin of error in the poll is plus or minus 1.3%.

Fine Gael stand at 22.4%, Sinn Fein are on 22.3% and Fianna Fail are on 22.2%

Of the other parties, Independents are on 11.2%, the Green Party 7.9%, Labour 4.6%, Social Democrats 3.4% and Solidarity/People Before Profit 2.8%.
