A popular Scots zoo has revealed more adorable photos of three recently-born Scottish wildcat kittens.
The Five Sisters Zoo in West Calder, near Livingston, which announced the arrival of the trio last month, also confirmed that following their first medical the team found that they were two boys and girl.
Sharing the news on their official FB page, the keepers posted pics of the cute kittens being examined by medical staff and added: "We are pleased to announce that we have two males and one female. Our keepers are now hard at work trying to come up with names for them!"
They added that people should post their suggestions in the comments.
One user suggested: "Barra and Argyll for the boys, Skye for the girl. Got to keep it Scottish."
While another posted: "Jack and Victor for the boys, Isa for the girl."
Another popular suggestion was: "Oscar, Marty and Kim - all the Wild(e)s."
With estimates of only 35 remaining in the wild, Scottish wildcats are 50 times rarer than the giant panda, and the tiny population is under threat from the destruction of their natural habitat and local unneutered domestic cats who are breeding with them.
But it is hoped that international breeding program and other projects like it will be able to save the species from extinction and births of litters like this one are vital.
Their birth follows the news that the Royal Zoological Society of Scotland introduced the first wildcat to the Saving Wildcats conservation breeding for release centre at the Highland Wildlife Park earlier this year.
