Gemma Collins revealed to fans that she lost her virginity when she was 18, telling them "I was older".
The 40-year-old was answering a question posed to her by a 21-year-old fan who said they were concerned that they'd never had a serious relationship.
Speaking on her BBC Sounds podcast, the former TOWIE star read out the listener's message which said: "My dilemma is I'm 21 years old and have never had a serious relationship.
"I'm actually still a virgin. I'm really insecure about my weight being a plus-size girl."
"Recently it's really affected my mood. I can't help but think I'm never going to be good enough and always be the single friend."
Gemma immediately tried to reassure the anonymous contributor.
"So, hun, listen, it is absolutely fine," she replied.
"I didn't lose my virginity till I was 18 years old. I was older. Again if you lose it before there's nothing wrong with that.
"I'm basically really feel for you, hun because you're thinking there's something wrong with you but it's absolutely fine.
"Wait until you're ready, wait until it just happens. Someone is going to love you for you."
Gemma has been proudly sharing her weight loss in recent months.
The reality TV star has lost over three and a half stone thanks to regular exercise and a healthier diet.
And she insists she's trying to get her body ready for the eventuality she will have kids.
An insider told New Magazine that the star was feeling "broody" and knows "her body clock is ticking".
"Gemma is 40 now, and feels like her biological clock is ticking," the source said.
“Things are going really well with Rami, and she should love nothing more than to have a baby with him. They’ve not been back together long, but they were very serious in their last relationship and talked about kids a lot.
"It feels like they have picked up from where they left off."
However, Gemma was quick to say that her rekindled relationship with Rami was "nothing serious".
