A disabled toilet in Gatehouse has been trashed by vandals.
And it’s believed the person responsible may have forgotten to take their bike with them.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the vandalism at the loos beside the town’s main car park which took place on the evening of May 17.
A spokesman said: “Damage was noted to fixings, graffiti was left on the wall, toilet paper was scattered over the floors and a disabled toilet was rendered inoperable as a result of this incident.
“A black and green mountain bike was left outside the toilets, which may be involved in the incident. If you or someone you care for is missing a mountain bike then we would be keen to talk with you.”
The bike is currently being stored at Castle Douglas police station.
Anyone who saw or heard anything or has CCTV is asked to contact police on 101 and quote reference number 2836 of May 17.
