Gary Neville reveals symbol he uses to mock Jamie Carragher amid Liverpool title delay

Manchester United great Gary Neville has once again been poking fun at Jamie Carragher after the appearance from the duo on Sky Sports' The Debate.

Both Neville and Carragher were discussing all things football and the coronavirus on Thursday evening when the attention turned to the title race.

Liverpool lead the way at the top of the Premier League by 25 points and need only two wins to pick up their first league title in 30 years.

But the latest Premier League delay due to the coronavirus until at least April 30 has fans including Carragher worried.

Neville joked on The Debate about Carragher frequently retweeting those saying that the season must be finished.

The former United defender also revealed that he has been backing calls to award Liverpool the title without completing the season by sending Carragher an asterix.

"He’s a little bit touchy on this one over the last few days in our messages," Neville told Sky Sports.

"I say give Liverpool the league and I keep sending him the little asterix sign to say 'Liverpool win the league, BUT…'.

"But it would have to be a doomsday scenario for football not to finish the fixtures from this season."
