Gareth Southgate makes Trippier and Wilson decision as England XI to face Wales confirmed

All three Newcastle United players have been named on the bench for England as they prepare to face rivals Wales in their final match of Group B.

Kieran Trippier, who started in the Three Lions' two opening matches against Iran and the United States, drops out in favour of Kyle Walker while Callum Wilson and Nick Pope stay on the bench for the third consecutive match.

Wilson did play the final 15 minutes against Iran, even grabbing himself an incredibly selfless assist for Manchester City's Jack Grealish in the 90th minute but still finds himself behind captain Harry Kane in the pecking order.

A win will send England through as group winners no matter the result and a draw also means they'll qualify for the knockout stages, but whether they'll top the group depends on the Iran vs USA result.

Only a defeat by four goals or more will see the Three Lions in any trouble, however. If Iran vs USA is a draw, there would be a three-way tie on four points and would come down to goal difference, a situation where England have a big advantage with their +4 GD before kick-off.

If England lose and there is a winner between Iran and the USA, it'll come down to goal difference between England and Wales. The full lineup for the match is as follows:

England line-up (4-3-3): Jordan Pickford; Kyle Walker, John Stones, Harry Maguire, Luke Shaw; Declan Rice, Jordan Henderson, Jude Bellingham; Phil Foden, Harry Kane, Marcus Rashford.
