Gareth Gates and Faye Brookes recently called off the wedding.
And the singer, 35, escaped the country on Tuesday, hoping to leave his heartache behind, shortly after the demise of his lengthy romance to the Coronation Street star.
The pop star admitted he couldn't leave the UK "fast enough" as it appeared he wanted to take his mind off his fresh heartbreak.
He wrote: "I can't leave the UK fast enough... but doing it in style."
The songwriter was boarding the plane first class with his passport in hand, yet he did not let his 53.8K fans know where he was jetting off to.

Later, the Pop Idol star shared a cryptic post about always taking every opportunity and not letting the time pass by.
Gareth posted the ambiguous message typed over a picture of his laptop while he resided in the terminal three lounge at Heathrow Airport.
He added: "Don't wait for the world to come to you. Go get the world."

Gareth has sought comfort from his eight-year-old daughter Missy whom he shares with his ex wife Suzanne Mole. The exes were married for four years from 2008 until 2012.
Meanwhile, Faye has already undergone a dramatic transformation as she was seen at Notting Hill carnival with purple hair after ditching her typical brunette locks.
The newly-single actress has already moved out of the lovenest they shared together as she appeared to be moving on from her ex.
Coronation Street Faye broke her silence to deny she had a new boyfriend after she was spotted leaving the gym with a male friend.

In a revealing Twitter post, she wrote: "So (yesterday) there was a pap outside the gym when I got there, taking pictures of me & getting very excited with his camera because I walked in with one of the trainers from the gym – who is a friend."
She added: "Just let a girl be, please."
Recently, Faye ended her engagement to Gareth after he proposed just seven months ago.

It emerged the actress had broke things off with her long-time partner because he was trying to manage her sky-rocketing career after she made the decision to leave Corrie.
A source told The Sun of the split: "In the end she called things off but he knew it was coming. Gareth was desperate to manage her and take charge of her career but she really wasn't keen on the idea.
"His want to manage her started to really raise questions and red flags for her."
The singer had got down on one knee to propose with a £30,000 ring in January to claim his love's hand in marriage.
This isn't the first time the couple have split; they went their separate ways in September last year only to be reunited after four months apart.
Their turbulent romance has grabbed the attention of headlines while they have romanced on and off for the past seven years.
