Gardai tragically discover body of missing Cork pensioner Tadhg O'Riordan

Gardai have tragically found the body of missing Cork man Tadhg O'Riordan.

The 69-year-old was last seen in Greenane, Kanturk, early on Wednesday morning.

His body was sadly recovered from the River Dalua this morning.

A garda spokesman said: "Gardaí in Kanturk investigating missing man Tadhg O'Riordan, 69 years of age who went missing on Wednesday 9th October, 2019 from Kanturk have recovered his body this morning, Saturday 12th October, 2019 from the River Dalua.

"Mallow Search and Rescue Water Unit assisted in the recovering of the body."

Teams had been searching for the last four days in a wooded area in Kanturk in the hope of locating the man.

Mallow Search and Rescue, Kerry Civil Defence and Tipperary Civil Defence were all involved in the search.
