Gardai on the scene as shots fired at house in quiet Offaly town

Shots were fired at a house in Co Offaly in a terrifying incident yesterday evening.

The incident happened in the Arden View area of Tullamore at around 6.50pm on Monday.

Two shots were fired at the window and front door of the home, RTE News reports.

Nobody was injured in the incident.

Officers are currently at the scene and investigations are ongoing.

A garda spokesman said: "Gardaí in Tullamore are investigating an alleged incident of shots fired in the Arden View area, yesterday evening Monday 30th November 2020 at approximately 6.50 p.m.

"No injuries were reported during the incident.

"A Garda technical examination will now take place.

"No arrests have been made. Investigations ongoing."
