Gardai hunt for shooter as Ballyfermot road sealed off after shots fired

Emergency services rushed to the scene of an alleged shooting in West Dublin last night.

Reports of shots being fired on Kylemore Road in Ballyfermot just after 10pm on Monday saw Gardai race to the scene and close off part of the road.

Thankfully, no injuries were reported after officers arrived.

Gardai returned to the scene on Tuesday morning and closed it off for technical examination.

They told Dublin Live that investigations are ongoing.

A spokesman said: "Gardai are investigating reports of a firearm being discharged on the Kylemore Road in Ballyfermot, Dublin 10, at approximately 10:20pm on Monday, August 9, 2021.

"No injuries were reported during the course of this incident. The scene was preserved for technical examination.

"No arrests have been made at this time in connection with this incident. Investigations are ongoing."
