Gardai in Kilkenny city are investigating the death of a man.
The discovery was made at around 7pm on Tuesday at a house or apartment at Hawthorn Walk.
The man is understood to have been in his 40s and from another county in the south east.
The area has been sealed off and state pathologists office has been contacted.
A garda spokeswoman could not confirm on Tuesday night if the death is being treated as suspicious or not.
