Chicago police are warning Humboldt Park and Logan Square residents about three recent garage burglaries reported in the Northwest Side neighborhoods.
In each incident, the burglar got into the garage by breaking through the side door, Chicago police said. The burglar then stole property and opened the overhead garage door to make an exit.
The burglaries happened:
· About 5:10 a.m. Dec. 12 in the 1400 block of North Lawndale Avenue;
· About 9:40 a.m. Dec. 12 in the 1900 block of North Lawndale Avenue; and
· About 8:30 p.m. Dec. 15 in the 1300 block of North Ridgeway Avenue.
In one incident, the suspect was described as a man in his 30s or 40s, standing between 5-foot-9 and 6-feet tall and weighing between 250 and 275 pounds, police said.
