CBI coordinates return of two Interpol Red Notice subjects from UAE and China

The Central Bureau of Investigation has coordinated the return of two Interpol Red Notice subjects from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and China.

Accused Peeru Muhammed Yahya Khan, wanted by the Kerala police for alleged rape and offences under the Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act. He was tracked down to the UAE in coordination with the Interpol.

He was brought back by a Kerala police team, facilitated through the Ministry of External Affairs. The CBI had got the Red Notice issued against him, on the request of the Kerala police, on August 10, 2024.

The second accused, Subash Vithal Pujari, was brought back by a Mumbai police team. He was wanted in multiple cases involving attempted murder, extortion, criminal intimidation, and illegal weapons. The CBI had got the Red Notice issued against him on February 14, 2012.
