Gang attack in Glasgow's Govan leaves one man in hospital

A 22-year-old man was left hospitalised after being seriously assaulted by a group of thugs in Govan, Glasgow.

Police are now appealing to anyone with information about the incident which took place around 11pm on May 26.

The victim was rushed to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment following the attack on Govan Road near to its junction with Broomloan Road.

Four teenage boys are being hunted by police.

They are described as being in late teens and all wearing dark clothing.

They ran off along Broomloan Road after the assault.

Detective Constable Alastair Taylor of Greater Glasgow CID said: “We are appealing for anyone with any information which may help with our enquiries and who has not already spoken to us to get in touch.

“We are particularly keen to speak to a dog walker who may have been speaking to the victim prior to him being approached by the suspects. We would also like to hear from anyone who may have seen the victim or the suspects prior to or after the incident to get in touch.”

Anyone with any information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting incident 4315 of 26 May, 2020.
