Game of Thrones fans spot water bottle in ANOTHER gaffe weeks after coffee cup blunder

Game of Thrones fans spotted a water bottle in shot during the tense series finale, which bid goodbye to the show after eight seasons.

Weeks after a coffee cup crept into shot, eagle-eyed viewers giggled at the latest beverage-related gaffe as a plastic water bottle sat next to one of the chairs in the council room.

Part of the way through the episode, just as Tyrion was to go in front of Westeros’ surviving rulers, a plastic bottle was noticed chilling next to Samwell Tarly’s left foot.

Fans weren’t going to let watery blunder go without being documented on social media, quickly sharing pictures and videos of the offending moment.

One joked: “They should’ve made the water bottle king of Westeros #GameOfThrones.”

Another said: “You’ve heard of coffee cup now get ready for plastic water bottle? #GameofThrones.”

“Guess Sam is against the environment with his Crystal Geyser water bottle #GameofThronesFinale #GameofThrones #GoT,” quipped somebody else.

Game of Thrones Season 8 Episode 6 Preview

HBO are yet to respond to bottle-gate, which comes weeks after they poked fun at themselves for leaving a coffee cup in shot.

During episode four, the hot drink cup could be seen in front of Daenerys Targaryen as the survivors of the Battle of Winterfell celebrated.

The broadcaster issued a statement saying: “The latte that appeared in the episode was a mistake. Daenerys had ordered an herbal tea.”

The final episode garnered a mixed reaction from fans as the hit show concluded and finally saw the Iron Throne claimed.

Game of Thrones airs at 9pm on Sky Atlantic. The episode is available now to steam on Sky Go and NOW TV.
