Arsenal star Bukayo Saka has identified the biggest strength of teammate Gabriel Martinelli, following the Brazilian's return from injury.
The 19-year-old excelled in his debut season at the Emirates Stadium last term after his arrival from South America but saw his impact hampered by a long-term injury layoff.
That saw Martinelli have to wait until December for his first taste of first-team action this season and limited to just seven appearances in all competitions so far this season.
However, Saka is aware of the impact that his fellow teenager can provide Arsenal to potentially help break them out of their recent slump.
“Just watch him play and press, the way he goes, he doesn’t stop. He’s not only just fast, he can also run a long distance at that same speed and just get faster," he told the Premier League's official YouTube channel.
“You look at his Chelsea goal [last season] - he didn’t slow down or get tired. It’s not just his pace it’s his engine as well. It’s crazy. It’s like he’s got a battery pack on his back.”
Arsenal have seen their recent unbeaten streak come crashing to an abrupt halt following back-to-back defeats to Wolves and Aston Villa.
That has seen the Gunners drop back into the bottom-half of the table ahead of a crucial stage in the season, where Arsenal must balance their Premier League campaign with the return of Europa League football.
With the hectic fixture schedule, Mikel Arteta is likely to rotate his squad and that may present Martinelli with more opportunities.
