GAA player's extraordinary miss from incredible goal chance in club football game

A club GAA player recorded what could quite possibly one of the worst misses in Gaelic Football history in a recent game.

It's every footballer's worst nightmare - not finding the net from a chance it'd be easier to score - but it happens to the best of us and unfortunately for one Wexford club star it's happened on front of the cameras.

The extraordinary miss came in a Wexford Intermediate clash as Crossabeg Ballymurn took on Naomh Eanna, with Conor Devereux getting on the end of a dangerous ball into the box.

And as the forward pounced on the breaking ball and cut across the box, the goalkeeper is wrongfooted leaving Devereux with an empty net a meter or so from the line.

And as he pulls the trigger, the ball rattles the crossbar and rebounds well back beyond him and the back-tracking defenders to see the incredible goal chance missed.

However, it doesn't end too badly for Devereux in the end - who the captained his club to the Wexford Intermediate championship the following week.
