Full Liverpool squad available for Real Madrid as five players ruled out

Liverpool are back in Champions League action tonight as they take on Real Madrid.

The Reds welcome the La Liga giants to Anfield in the first leg of their last-16 tie this evening. Liverpool will be hoping to take an advantage into the reverse fixture at the Santiago Bernabeu on March 15.

Jurgen Klopp’s side go into tonight’s match on the back of a victory over Newcastle United in the Premier League at the weekend. Real Madrid also claimed a win on Saturday, beating Osasuna 2-0 in the Spanish top flight.

Liverpool will be without some of their key players for tonight’s match. Luis Diaz, Thiago Alcantara, Calvin Ramsay and Ibrahima Konate are all still on the sidelines.

There will be no Arthur Melo this evening, despite the midfielder returning to training. The Brazilian was not included in Liverpool’s 25-man squad which was confirmed at the start of the month.

Liverpool will hope that Darwin Nunez is available to feature tonight, after suffering from shoulder pain during the win over Newcastle. The striker took part in training on Monday evening, with Klopp saying Nunez has a “chance” of playing against Madrid.

Here is a look at Liverpool’s expected squad to be available to face Real Madrid, barring any late injury issues.
