Capcom’s new sci-fi action-adventure IP, Pragmata, has launched to raving reviews, with many critics praising its unique shooter mechanics and endearing protagonist duo – Hugh and Diana. Like Joel and Ellie in The Last of Us, Hugh and Diana’s dynamic is integral to Pragmata’s story, and many fans (including myself) have been curious about their voice actors.
Fortunately, much of the mystery, particularly about the game’s English voice cast, has been cleared since the game’s launch. Below is the full list of Pragmata’s voice actors, including both English and Japanese casts.

Pragmata’s story revolves entirely around Hugh and Diana, with fleeting appearances from a few other characters.

Hugh, the gruff astronaut you play as, is voiced by industry veteran David Menkin, most notably known for portraying Barnabass Tharmr in Final Fantasy 16 and Luke Skywalker in Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga.
The endearing android kid Diana, on the other hand, is voiced by Grace Saif, whose most notable role to date is of Ani Achola in the acclaimed Netflix TV adaptation of 13 Reasons Why. Saif doesn’t have many video game roles to her credit, but she has provided additional support in titles such as Alan Wake 2 and Diablo 4.
As for its Japanese cast, Hugh is voiced by Kaiju No.8’s Miou Tanaka, whose notable video game credits include Raymond Law in Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii and Kyohei Hamura in Judgement.
Meanwhile, Diana is voiced by popular Japanese actor and singer Nao Toyama. She has more than two dozen anime roles to her credit, but her most recent, and arguably most notable video game voice works include Mualani in Genshin Impact and Kimberly in Street Fighter 6. She also did a stellar job voicing Juna Crawford in multiple entries of The Legend of Heroes: Trails series.
That’s the entire Pragma voice cast, and while there aren’t many characters you could come across and interact with, what’s there is still, no doubt, a star-studded cast.
Some Pragmata fans thought Nolan North and Laura Bailey were leading the cast
Before Pragmata’s launch, Capcom remained surprisingly tight-lipped about the game’s cast. Naturally, some fans took to deciphering the voices of Diana and Hugh from the trailers and figured they were Laura Bailey and Nolan North, respectively.
However, as it turns out, that isn’t true. It’s worth noting that both North and Bailey support SAG-AFTRA, an American union company focused particularly on actors and voice actors. Capcom is historically known for not working with SAG-AFTRA actors, which is the main reason why Ben Diskin won’t be reprising his role as Mega Man in the upcoming Mega Man: Dual Override.
